Carved Moulding Creates Beautiful Frame for Paintings

Posted on August 30, 2022August 30, 2022 By emilyosbornewood No Comments on Carved Moulding Creates Beautiful Frame for Paintings

We are always excited to see the creative ways that customers utilize our products to bring their projects to life. Even the smallest details can make a huge difference, as you can see in these beautiful custom frames. Nicholas from Oxford, UK utilized some of our carved wooden moulding to accent the frames he uses to display his paintings. The result is stunning!

Nicholas chose the Carved Dutch Ripple Moulding (Part #8991000) to grace the frames of his impressive watercolour paintings. He chose this moulding as it was a great size for what he was needing and the simplistic design created a nice, cohesive look throughout his space without taking away from the artwork. He customized the moulding by adding a black finish, creating unique yet subtle dimension.

“The mount and frame are in black which serves to act as colour and tonal intensified to the picture – not unlike viewing a cinema screen in a darkened theatre,” Nicholas shared. “I have designed the frames to be rather minimal with just the ripple moulding as that wee reference to the dutch frames of genre and interiors of the 17th century – nicely alleviates the otherwise quite heavy profile of the overall frame.”

As you can see above, the wooden moulding perfectly frames each work of art and provides just the right amount of extra detail. Learn more about Nicholas and his artwork by visiting his website.
