Concord Island Post

When remodeling, renovating, or just adding functionality to the home, a major focal point is the kitchen. The kitchen can be a work place, gathering place, meeting place, and much more. Having updated appliances, as well as cabinetry and decorative elements is very important for the feel and functionality of the home. One such way to enhance both the appearance and the functionality of the kitchen is through a kitchen island design. Kitchen islands vary in shapes, sizes, styles,  and finishes, but all offer unique character and design to the space. The beauty of it is that islands reflect personal style, preference, and really emphasize what is important in the space.

Concord Island Post

Today, let’s take a look at a beautiful kitchen island designed and built by Roger K. Roger chose to use the Osborne Concord Island Post (Part #1471) for his island design. The benefit of the Concord post is it’s simplicity, strength, and subtle design. This beautiful leg can match almost any style! This leg also comes in a wide range of sizes, ranging from 3″ to 8″ in width.

Roger told us that the “Kitchen island is made from poplar with maple legs from Osborne Wood Products. The island features a Carrera Marble top. The 3 ft. x 5 ft. island was built to resemble a large country pastry table. The black finish is a waterbased stain, partially buffed off in places to resemble wear from age. Clear satin wiping varnish was placed over the stain. There is seating for 3 at the back and side, with stools that fit neatly underneath.”

Thank you for sharing your photos with us Roger. Enjoy your beautiful island!
