There are projects that require but a small amount of support and detail. These designs can be simple or elegant, and typically call for a kitchen island leg at a 3 1/2″ width. The smaller width allows for subtle detail, strength, and style. But sometimes a project calls for something a little out of the ordinary. Sometimes a project calls for a massive leg to add not only support, but eye catching detail and design. For large tables and large spaces, a 5″ wide island leg may be the perfect fit for the design.
Mary of Kentucky recently found her perfect fit for a 5″ Massive Island Post. Mary chose the popular Massive Wilmington Island Post (Part #1409) for a butcher block island/ bar. The legs, along with the table base, were finished a dark stain to compliment the natural wood top. Here is what Mary had to say about her design:
“I’m so happy my brother Kevin in Georgia suggested my husband & I look at your company web-site! Thanks to my brother Kevin giving us a huge butcher block and recommending Osborne Wood and my husband building me a beautiful new kitchen butcher block island/bar… I now have an awesome island !!! Your Osborne legs never looked better! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!”
Thank you so much for sharing your project with us Mary. Your kitchen island is perfect! Enjoy this beautiful addition to your home!
