Rustic Bench Tutorial

Shanty2Chic Bench Leg

Dining tables with bench seating have always seemed to be a top trend, and the pictures sent in by our friend Paul certainly help show why.  He made the benches entirely himself, and the craftsmanship is simply stunning!

Shanty2Chic Bench Leg

Paul used Osborne’s Shanty2Chic Bench Leg (Part #1389) to create his design.  He modified Shanty to Chic’s free tutorial to create his one-of-a-kind pieces!  Since his benches aren’t as long, he didn’t need to use all three leg setups.  He kept the two on the ends, and placed them carefully on platforms that provide tremendous stability and style in one go. While this bench has a more rustic and country vibe, with the simple design and design on the bench legs, it is easy to make a bench or coffee table to fit into traditional, classic, chic, industrial, and even arts and crafts/shaker style!

If you’d like to start your own bench, check out our coffee table/bench leg collection!
