A big shout-out to our friends over at MT Farm Tables in Tom’s River, NJ, for sending us this incredible photo of Osborne’s Transitional Trestle Base, part #1136. The construction millwork is flawless, and the large table is big enough for a banquet! MT Farm Tables added a stretcher between the two trestles for extra stability, and the rustic top makes the perfect finish. Well done, MT Farm Tables!
There are so many reasons why a trestle table makes a great dining table:
There are no table legs in the corners to fight with and get in the way of your legs!
Trestle tables are incredibly stable, since the weight of the table is spread over a wider area at the base. The stable base make it easier to add table slides, since only the top moves and the top can roll on geared slides for a one-handed, smooth opening.
Trestle tables are spacious, and the perfect solution for large gatherings. More people can sit on the sides and the ends, not being limited by legs on each end.
